If you’re looking for the comforts of home, but with absolutely stunning views, Airlie Apartments is definitely the place for you when visiting the Airlie Beach and Whitsundays area.
Airlie Apartments provides ideally located beach apartments from the hilltop position overlooking Coral Sea Marina, Pioneer Bay and the gorgeous Whitsundays Islands. With stunning views in just about every apartment, Airlie Beach has 1-3 bedroom apartments complete with kitchens, laundry facility, bbq, and tons of space for entertaining your family on holidays.
Although located on top of the hill, Airlie Apartments is located only a 5-minute walk from the Airlie Beach Town Centre. With it’s a prime location, not only do you get the spectacular views overlooking Whitsundays, but you get the convenience of walking down the street to hit up all the delicious restaurants, boutiques, and bars. It’s a nice combination of feeling like you’re escaping the “Airlie Beach scene”, without being fully removed.
When traveling away, I absolutely love staying in apartments. There’s something a lot more relaxed, yet homey, about staying in apartments as opposed to hotels.
We stayed in the one-bedroom apartment with absolutely stunning views of the pool and the marina. With Airlie Apartments, we found the apartment very spacious, even in the one-bedroom apartment. We had a full-size kitchen with everyday cooking essentials and appliances like a dishwasher, stove, microwave etc.
One of my favorite parts of apartments is having the full-size kitchen. I absolutely love eating out and exploring the local restaurants when I visit a new place, but it’s always great to be able to cook a couple meals to not only save you money but also for the convenience as well.
When traveling, I like to look up restaurants in the area, find of places I want to go to and for what meals and then try to cook the rest of the time. For example, some restaurants in the area may be known for their delicious breakfast and some might be better for dinner. I like to plan ahead of time which places I want to go to and for what meal and then I’d plan on cooking other meals at the apartment. This way I’m balancing experiencing the local restaurants in the area, but also able to save money and eat a little healthier with cooking for myself as well.
Cathy the Airlie Apartment Manager was so hospitable towards us with leaving us a few gifts to make us feel more at home and welcome us to Airlie Apartments.
It’s little details like these gifts that you can see all-around Airlie Apartments that you wouldn’t necessarily feel at a larger resort.
Our bedroom was comfortable with plenty of space and storage. We were only staying at Airlie Apartments for one night, but with the amount of space and storage, if you have a couple of weeks worth of clothing, you definitely have plenty of room to put things away and not feel like you need to live out of your suitcase.
One of my favorite things is when apartments have a washer and dryer. Although Airlie Apartments was the first place we stayed on our Whitsundays Adventure, we still had plenty of washing to do before our Sailing Adventure the following day.
When on vacation, I know the last thing you want to do is laundry, but it’s so handy to have a unit in the apartment with you. We packed pretty light for our trip, knowing that we were able to do some laundry during our stay. I also love doing laundry before heading home from a trip. It makes the whole unpacking process that much easier when you don’t have a suitcase full of dirty clothes when arriving home.
With just the one day of traveling, we had our airport clothes, hiking clothes, and the clothes we wore throughout the day to wash. Needless to say, the washer and dryer definitely came in handy and it was also so nice that there was washing powder already provided so we didn’t have to go buy some for our one day there.
The apartment complex also has a communal laundry room located down by reception so regardless if your unit has the washer-dryer combination, you’ll definitely be able to do some washing while staying at Airlie Apartments.
Located out of our living room and kitchen area, the living space continues with a generous size back deck overlooking the stunning views of the marina and pool. This deck is not only great for entertaining for a BBQ during the evening but we also loved starting our morning off with a cup of coffee and the gorgeous view.
The pool is located around all the apartments and features a beautiful waterfall and plenty of room to sunbathe or for multiple families to hang out by the pool at once. With the beautiful sunny weather that Airlie Beach has, you’ll be dying to jump into this refreshing pool as soon as you arrive!
Airlie Apartments is definitely a place to stay if you’re traveling with your family to Airlie Beach/Whitsundays. However, it’s also perfect if you’re on a couples retreat like us. Regardless of the occasion, you’ll be feeling very comfortable and at home.
