Hask Greek Yogurt with Blueberry & Acai Repairing Collection Review

Hask Greek Yogurt with Blueberry & Acai Repairing Collection Review

My hair has been on a “transformation” for a few years now. I’ve tried different haircuts, different colors, and different styles to see what I prefer best. I’ve tried straight, curly, bangs, no bangs, side bangs, one color, highlights, ombre, balayage, the list goes on and on. I’m still working on what hairstyle and color I prefer, but since my overall style is ever-changing, I think that my hair style will be doing the same.

With all this experimentation, it’s left my hair a little, (or a lot) damaged. Especially when the coloring involves bleach. When I heard about Hask’s new line; the Greek Yogurt with Blueberry & Acai Repairing Collection especially for color treated hair, I knew it was something that I really wanted to try out.  Thanks to Hask, I was able to get the collection sent to me try it out for myself and review my experience on my blog. As always, my reviews of the products are always 100% honest and are completely my own.Hask Greek Yogurt with Blueberry & Acai Repairing Collection Review

Since I’ve spend a lot of money with coloring my hair, it’s important that I get my color to last, which means specifically using products for color treated hair. Even if something is extremely deep conditioning, if it strips away my balayage, I’m not going to be happy. The Greek Yogurt with Blueberry & Acai Repairing Collection is perfect for hair that was either styled or colored too much, leaving you with damaged and dull hair. Each product from this collection features a dual delivery system with a mixture of Greek Yogurt and a fruit. The Greek yogurt is packed full of awesome ingredients such as protein, calcium, minerals, potassium, and vitamins. Who knew that greek yogurt was also super healthy for your hair too?! The other half of the mixture contains blueberries and acai berries. The blueberries are full of powerful antioxidants that help restore that damage from styling and coloring. The acai berry works with the blueberries and greek yogurt to help fight breakage, especially on your ends.

Along with the awesome ingredients to benefit your hair, the collection also excludes all those ingredients that are harmful to your hair such as sulfates, parabens, phthalates, gluten and drying alcohols. They are also are cruelty-free products, which is always a win in my book!

Repairing Shampoo

First and foremost, this shampoo smells like a million bucks. It’s a very fruity, fresh smell that lingers in my hair for days until I wash my hair again. The smell alone can convince me to use this product over and over again. I also love the dual aspect of the Greek yogurt and the fruit mixture. When you squeeze the shampoo out of the bottle you see both the Greek yogurt and the fruit mixture really coming together and making the perfect combination.

Although I love the packaging, colors, and smell, I however don’t think this product worked too well on my hair type. I have oily roots, it’s something that I’ve been trying to work on for a while now and has gotten better with not washing my hair everyday, but still needs improvement. However, I feel like the combination with this repairing shampoo, mixed with my oily roots, just ended up weighing my hair down, and I didn’t like how it looked after my hair dried or even after styling my hair. If you have dry scalp, maybe this product will work better for you, but for me, it wasn’t my favorite.

Repairing Conditioner

Along with the shampoo, this conditioner smells amazing. It also has the two separate colors, which I love. The conditioner itself was decent, almost like any other conditioner you would pick up at the store. It left my hair smelling great and my ends pretty soft. Did I notice any dramatically difference after using it? Not really. However, it didn’t strip away my bleached ends, which is a win in my book! Since this conditioner is affordable and available at Walgreens, it’s something that I would consider picking up again.

Repairing Deep Conditioner

The true test when it comes to a deep conditioner is using it following my purple shampoo. If you are unaware of what purple shampoo is, it’s a shampoo that tones your hair to get away any brassiness that might develop after dying your hair blonde. Since it’s a toner, it really makes my already dry ends, even drier. I’m in the constant battle of determining if I want brassy hair with semi-dry ends, or a cool-tone blonde with extremely dry ends. I typically choose to cool-tone blonde which is why I need a deep conditioner to help balance out the toner.

Following the other two products, this one, once again smells amazing. I followed the directions and left the deep conditioner on for about five minutes and rinsed it out quickly. After getting out of the shower and drying my hair, I noticed that my ends were a lot softer, especially comparing to just a regular ole’ conditioner. Since once again it’s affordable and easy to get your hands on at any Walgreens, it’s a pretty decent deep conditioner.

Overall the products are decent. Although the shampoo wasn’t my favorite, the conditioners are both pretty decent, affordable options. They smell absolutely delicious and I also love the packaging. Hask itself launched a few other lines for different styles of hair such as the Color Protection Pomegranate & Cranberry and Hydrating Fig & Honey so there’s something for everyone.
